Frequently Asked Questions

Long-term care (LTC) insurance often helps cover the cost of our services. When services begin, we can also assist in reviewing your specific policy, since coverage details vary by plan.

We take great care in selecting a caregiver we believe will be a wonderful match for your loved one. However, we understand that sometimes a different personality or approach may be a better fit. Your loved one’s comfort, trust, and happiness are always our top priorities, so you can request a caregiver change at any time. We’ll use your feedback to thoughtfully match you with someone who better meets your preferences and needs for the long term.

We are licensed, bonded, and insured for your protection and peace of mind. All of our caregivers undergo fingerprinting, thorough criminal background checks, and meet all state requirements set by the Ohio Department of Aging. Most importantly, because our caregivers are employed by our agency, we handle all supervision, compliance, and liability, so if any issue arises, you can rest easy knowing it’s our responsibility to address it quickly and professionally.

We follow a thorough, multi-step process to ensure every caregiver we hire is highly qualified, trustworthy, and genuinely compassionate. All candidates must pass rigorous screening that includes state-required criminal background checks, employment verification, and reference reviews. In addition, our caregivers complete training that meets standards set by the Ohio Department of Health, including competency evaluations and ongoing education to keep their knowledge current and their care exceptional.

Just as important as credentials, we carefully look for the qualities you can’t teach: kindness, patience and a true passion for helping others. We believe the best caregivers not only meet professional standards but also bring heart to the work they do every day.
